Find and route to campsites, beaches and other POIs from www.POI.NU using TomTom

This App4Buck app allows you to very quickly locate shops, camp sites, bars, beaches and other Points of Interest from www.POI.NU (using the POI66 database).

After finding a list of POIs in your neighbourhood you can select one and show that on the map or directly plan a route to it using the Android built-in navigation. This allows any app to display or route with, for instance Google Maps for displaying and TomTom or Waze for routing. If you believe the very POI has been closed, is out of order or is a duplicate, you can indicate this.

The POI.NU database contains more than 5,000,000 free Points Of Interest, such as camp sites, restaurants, hotels and other obvious categories, but many crowd sourced categories like water towers, harbours, supermarkets, fuel stations, landmarks, bunkers, 3G antennas, shipwrecks, fountains, stadiums, bird spotting places, airplane spotting parkings, UFO sites, nuclear test sites, meteor craters, geysers, and very many local POIs such as Yellowstone and other sets. Just type a relevant name and hit the Find button.

www.POI.NU allows downloading the data to be used in TomTom satnavs, Garmin (CSV Nuvi format), Google Earth KML and KMZ, GPS GPX format, and many other download formats. This app is just a quick hit and run once you're on the spot. Imagine how you could just find pubs, restaurants, museums once you wander the streets of Rome or Miami Beach...

As a free POI provider we also offer adult categories. Make sure you tick the "Allow adult" checkbox in the settings to reveal those.
